Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Archwell Foundation is back up and running after being declared “delinquent.” The Archwell Foundation is a California-based mix of for-profit and not-for-profit (charitable) business organizations. “The Archewell Foundation remains fully compliant and in good standing. Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS’s processes and procedures. Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing,” stated Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s spokesperson. Per Page Six, the prince and Markle were surprised by the news and although they acted quickly to rectify the situation, their trip to Nigeria delayed this. The outlet was also informed that the amount owed was around $200 and this does not include late fees. The Duke & Duchess of Sussex’s foundation was declared “delinquent” by California’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers. This ordered them to stop fundraising and spending charitable money. According to a letter from the state’s attorney general, the Archwell Foundation “failed to submit annual required reports and/or renewal fees.”
