Spotify created the concept of a year-end look at the music you listened to most, but Apple Music beat out Spotify by releasing its Apple Music Replay stats a full day earlier. Apple listeners’ data became available on Nov. 28.
While still in the early stages (it wasn’t even called Wrapped yet), Spotify released its Year in Review in 2013. Three years later, it became the now-beloved Spotify Wrapped.
Not to be outdone, in 2019 Apple released its Apple Music Replay that updated weekly and the two streaming services have been in harmonious competition ever since.
In 2022 Apple Music Replay revamped its format to give users their listening data for the year, including top songs, artists, total minutes listened and more.
Here’s how to get your 2023 Apple Music stats.

Apple Music Replay 2023 release date
Apple Music released its year-end recap on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2023 — a day earlier than Spotify.
How does Apple Music Replay work?
Apple Music Replay is functionally a little different than Spotify Wrapped as it’s a permanent feature in the Apple Music app.
Users can get updates weekly throughout the year as long as their “Use Listening History” is turned on for all the devices you listen on. The Nov. 28 release was the more personalized “Highlights Summary” that allows users to share their results on social media.
How to look at Apple Music Replay 2023
To access your Apple Music Replay, head to replay.music.apple.com and log in with your Apple ID. From there, it will give your all your stats from the year.
The highlight reel will show your musical year in review including the total amount of time listening to music and your top genre, artist, album and song.
Just like Spotify, Apple Music Replay will put your results in a playlist to listen to all next year.
Who is the most streamed artist on Apple Music 2023?
To no one’s surprise, the Eras Queen herself Taylor Swift topped the Apple Music charts for 2023.
The Grammy-award-winning artist who sold out stadium after stadium across the country on her Eras Tour — including the tour launch at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona — was listened to more than any other artist in the world.
According to Forbes, this set a new all-time record for the most listeners for any artist in a single year on Apple Music.
