Decades after I Dream of Jeannie ended, people still look to the show, and the iconic lead actress Barbara Eden, for the blueprint of fabulousness. Now, we already know that women get more amazing with age, and Eden proves that women can be, and are, truly marvelous in their 90s.

In case you missed it, on Dec 3, Eden attended the 16th Annual National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards Gala to receive the Legend Award. She arrived in style at Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles, and made headlines for her super-rare, chic appearance. See the photo below:

As you can see, the legendary actress arrived in a vibrant, cherry red suit, and paired it with statement jewelry like pearl jewelry, matching red pumps, and a gold handbag.

Now, this is the second time Eden has blessed us with a rare red carpet appearance in 2023 (with the first time being in March for the Remus Pre Award Tea Time). She’s said numerous times that she never plans to retire, and will continue to go to conventions if she’s not acting.

In a previous interview with Closer, she revealed that her secret to feeling great in her 90s is simple: “I think the secret to feeling great is to keep active, do things that you love and have a good sense of humor.” And she relayed this sentiment in another interview with People when she talked about how grateful she is for her life.

“I’m really lucky,” she said. “I have dear friends. I have a wonderful family, a very supportive husband, a dog who is adorable, but a brat! Yes, I’m very happy. I think life, everything, has to work itself out. There’s a reason for most things, and I can’t wish for it.”
