Sophie Turner is getting by with a little help from her squad amid her divorce from Joe Jonas.
An onlooker told The Messenger that the Game of Thrones alum “looked to be in great spirits and happy” during her girls’ night out with friend (and fellow Jonas ex) Taylor Swift on Tuesday at Via Carota in New York City.
“They were both smiling and laughing, seemed like a fun night out,” the eyewitness said of the pair, accompanied by Elvis actress Olivia DeJonge.
“They looked like they were having a blast together and it was a girls’ night out,” added the onlooker. “They said hello to a few people inside the restaurant, but were mainly hanging out together, having dinner and drinks at a private table in the corner. They cheers’d each other with their drinks and Taylor gave Sophie a hug and embraced her.”
The outing comes after Jonas filed for divorce from Turner earlier this month, following four years of marriage. The filing stated that their marriage is “irretrievably broken,” and they wish to share parental custody of their two daughters.
“After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” the exes wrote in a joint statement. “There are many speculative narratives as to why, but truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy and our children.”
A source has since told The Messenger that Turner and Jonas’ divorce “won’t go on long or be dragged out.”
After they began dating in 2016, Turner and the Jonas Brother tied the knot in May 2019 in Las Vegas before having another ceremony the next month in southern France. Additionally, Jonas previously dated Swift briefly in 2008.
Meanwhile, The Messenger broke the news that the 1989 singer has recently been “having fun” with Travis Kelce, per a source.
“She and Travis have hung out twice, and it’s nothing serious. She thinks he is very charming, and they have been texting this last week,” the insider exclusively told The Messenger. “He is a little embarrassed at how much attention they are getting, but he has told her he would love to continue seeing her.”
