James Morrison is believed to have cancelled any future work commitments in the wake of his partner’s death.

The ‘You Give Me Something’ singer, 39, found his long-term love Gill Catchpole, 45, dead at their family house in Gloucester on Friday (05.01.24) after a friend could not contact the caterer.

He shared a reference to his music career – which has been on hold in recent years – in a post on Instagram hours before her death last Thursday, showing him playing guitar in front of a screen with the caption: “New year, new adventure.”

Despite being out of the spotlight in recent years, James did return to the stage with a 22-date ‘Greatest Hits’ tour in 2022 and played festivals including Kew The Music, London.

An inquest was told on Tuesday (09.01.24) James was confronted with the tragic scene of his wife’s death after a friend could not get hold of the mum-of-two.
