Forget cake by the ocean — Joe Jonas is now the highly amused recipient of some mayo by the ocean.
In a “storytime” video posted to his Instagram over the weekend, the singer shared a hilarious exchange he had with actor and comedian Nathan Fielder at Donna’s, a Los Angeles Italian restaurant.
“So last night, I noticed Nathan Fielder was at the same restaurant I was having dinner at in L.A.,” he began the video. “I wanted to send him a drink, so I asked the waiter if we could send something over, and they said, ‘You have good taste,’ which made me feel good about my loving all things Nathan Fielder.”
In return, the singer said The Rehearsal star sent back a dish containing mayonnaise, “as a thank you.” Jonas ended the video, below, with a photo of the mayonnaise sitting on his table as proof. (Fielder has not yet shared his side of the hilarious encounter.)
In addition to his video “storytimes,” Jonas is currently on tour with brothers Kevin and Nick as part of the Jonas Bros.’ Five Albums One Night tour, which began new dates October, and will continue across North America through December, before heading to international dates through June of next year.
Fielder, meanwhile, is set to star in the dark Showtime comedy The Curse alongside Emma Stone and Benny Safdie, which debuts on the cabler on Nov. 12 or via Paramount+’s Showtime add-on starting Nov. 10. Fielder co-created the show — which a newly married and allegedly cursed couple as they try to conceive a child while co-starring on their new HGTV show — with Safdie.
The Curse will make its broadcast debut Nov. 12 on Showtime, and can be streamed starting Nov. 10 via Paramount+’s Showtime add-on.
