‘Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness has been accused of having anger issues on set by several members of the show’s production team. In a Rolling Stone exposé, seven staff members described Van Ness’ outbursts as “intense and scary.” “[There’s] a real emotion of fear around them when they get angry. It’s almost like a cartoon where it oozes out of them,” said members of Queer Eye’s production team. Another unnamed individual said that it was common for them to make someone the “villain of the day” to take out their anger. Production staff claimed that Van Ness would make filming the show “difficult” and would create animosity between the ‘Fab Five’. Van Ness allegedly “didn’t want to ever share the spotlight with anyone,” which many speculate led to the departure of Bobby Berk from the show.
