Josh Giddey totaled 10 points (4-13 FG, 1-3 3PT, 1-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, and two steals in the Thunder’s 116-102 win over the Bulls.
Fantasy Impact:
Giddey scored 10.0 points in the Thunders’ win over the Bulls, continuing to demonstrate the scoring inconsistency that could create frustration when rostering him. Although he is a multi-categorical contributor, he hasn’t been able to build on his spectacular sophomore campaign early on this season. Even when looking at his game log from last season, he fails to demonstrate the ability to increase and maintain his production from month to month, so these kinds of ups and downs could persist. Despite this, you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone else at this point who can provide the type of slate-changing upside he can for your lineups. Giddey remains a must-start asset in season-long leagues. However, he may be a tad too expensive in daily formats, better on FanDuel, to warrant serious consideration given his current output. Giddey has a usage rate of 24.1 percent, a plus-minus of 2.7, and is averaging 27.2 minutes, 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists, 0.9 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game while shooting 43.5 percent from the floor and 31.0 percent from beyond the arc.
