Just how famous is Billie Eilish? Take a look at her fame by the numbers

Grammy-winner Billie Eilish is playing a sold-out show at Heritage Bank Center on Friday, making her Cincinnati debut as part of her Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour.

According to Setlist.fm, the last time the 22-year-old artist played a show in Ohio was at Cleveland’s House of Blues in 2018.

The singer-songwriter with the Oscar-winning soprano voice featured in the 2023 “Barbie” movie released her first single “Ocean Eyes” at just 13 years old. She’s gone on to break records in the music industry, becoming the youngest person to win all four top awards at the Grammys in one year.

Lots of A-list artists have graced Heritage Bank Center and its larger counterpart Paycor Stadium over the years, from Taylor Swift to Luke Combs, Celine Dion, Elvis Presley and more. So how big is Eilish compared to other huge stars?

Here’s a breakdown by the numbers.

Billie Eilish has a massive Instagram following

Like other artists considered pillars of the music industry in recent years, Eilish’s Instagram following has reached the millions. She currently boasts over 120 million followers on the platform, more than triple that of other A-list pop artists, including Olivia Rodrigo (38.2 million) and Bruno Mars (37.6 million).

She’s still working her way up to the amount of followers held by the industry’s leading female artists – such as Ariana Grande and Beyoncé, who both have over 300 million followers on the platform.

She made Grammy history

Eilish is poised to be something like a Grammy sweetheart. She made history in 2020 as the youngest artist to sweep all four major honors at the Grammys, winning album, record and song of the year as well as best new artist – the first person to do so since Christopher Cross in 1981.

At the 2024 Grammy Awards, Eilish beat a stacked song of the year category consisting of Lana Del Rey, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, SZA and Olivia Rodrigo with “What Was I Made For?” The track also won in the best song written for visual media category, helping Eilish claim nine total Grammy honors in her relatively short career, surpassing the likes of Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande (who both have two Grammys).

Eilish is slowly but surely creeping up to as many Grammy accolades as some of the highest-awarded female artists, such as Lady Gaga with 13 wins, Taylor Swift with 14 and Beyoncé with her record-setting 32 Grammy nods.
