Kamala Harris is “proud” to have a political endorsement from one of the world’s biggest pop stars Taylor Swift.

On Friday, September 20, the Democratic presidential candidate sat down with WIRED magazine for its Autocomplete Interview, in which celebrities answer the most widely searched questions/topics about themselves online and unveil each search as they go.

When Harris, 59, removed the white strip of paper to see the search “Kamala Harris Taylor Swift,” the politician’s face lit up with a big smile.

“I am very proud to have the support of Taylor Swift. She’s an incredible artist,” the Vice President stated.

Harris also highlighted the incredible strength of the 14-time Grammy winner as she repeatedly uses her platform to shine a light on the issues that matter to her. “I really respect the courage that [Taylor] has had in her career to stand up for what she believes is right,” Harris remarked.

However, there is one major topic for which the two women are not on the same side their favorite football teams. The California native admitted she is a fan of the San Francisco 49ers, while the singer-songwriter is a clear Kansas City Chiefs fan as her boyfriend Travis Kelce is a tight end on the Chiefs.

“We were on different sides of the Super Bowl last year,” Harris quipped. “I am a 49ers fan, but who’s mad at anyone for being loyal to their team, right?”

After months of fans wanting the singer to speak out against Republican nominee Donald Trump and in support of Harris, Swift officially endorsed her immediately following the VP’s debate against Trump.

On Tuesday, September 10, Swift took to Instagram to share that she would be casting her ballot for the Harris and Tim Walz ticket in November.

Swift praised the former Attorney General of California for her leadership abilities. “I’m voting for @kamalaharris because she fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them,” Swift wrote. “I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos.”
