Lady Gaga Will Not Pay $500K Reward To Dognapping Accomplice | Entertainment

A Los Angeles judge has ruled that Lady Gaga will not pay a $500,000 reward to dognapping accomplice, Jennifer McBride. McBride was an accomplice in the February 2021 kidnapping of Gaga’s two dogs, Koji and Gustavo, when a $500K reward for the pets was offered. She had filed a lawsuit against Gaga to retrieve the reward and an additional $1.5 million in damages. McBride’s attorney argued that by failing to pay the reward, Gaga was guilty of a breach of contract and fraud by false promises. According to the court documents, Judge Holly J. Fujie declared McBride’s complaint to be “legally insufficient in its entirety” after she stole the dogs. The court found that “nothing alleged in the first amended complaint changes this conclusion,” and the case is now closed.
