Landon Barker has opened up about his “awful” experience dealing with alcohol abuse and mental health issues over the past year. Barker told People “it originally started with a bad habit with alcohol” and shared that he suffered from depersonalization-derealization disorder. “I was abusing it and just abusing that substance. It was awful, and I went through heightened OCD, heightened ADHD and heightened anxiety, all while dissociating and feeling like I was in a video game”, Barker told People. The 20-year-old explained that he felt like he was watching his life through a “movie screen” and said, “It was honestly awful.” He previously addressed his mental health on Instagram in August 2022, saying, “You’re not alone and we are all imperfect in our own ways.”
