LOS ANGELES (CelebrityAccess) – The Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) and Live Nation (LN), the world’s leading live entertainment companyare partnering to launch a music business intensive course and paid internship program to provide industry newcomers with insight and the technical skills required to bring a show to the stage. This new program expands upon BMAC and LN’s shared commitment to creating access and equity within the music industry.

Kicking off this Summer, the program will offer non-college-bound, aspiring music business professionals from across the country an all-expense paid experience in Los Angeles as they go through a one-week intensive course that will educate them on a broad range of roles in the live music industry. The program will include keynote talks with industry players, musicians, and Live Nation executives. To help set the 2024 program participants up for success beyond the classroom, each participant will be offered a 4-month paid internship at Live Nation. A group of participants will also be selected to join Live Nation’s new ‘School of Live Apprenticeship Program’ for additional training, a 6-month paid apprenticeship, and the potential for long-term job placement.

“BMAC is proud to partner with Live Nation to launch this program and help create opportunities and access for Black professionals interested in pursuing a career in the live music industry,” said BMAC Co-Founder, President, and CEO Willie “Prophet” Stiggers. “BMAC is in this mission towards equity for the long haul, and we are honored to have the support from Live Nation to allow key staff and operations to continue this work.”

LN has shown its commitment to the future of BMAC by investing in operational support for the organization.

“Our School of Live Learning Center uniquely positions us to offer aspiring live music talent with valuable hands-on training and insights from some of the most notable professionals in our industry,” said Omar Al-joulani, Co-President of Live Nation Concerts. “Creating this one-of-a-kind program with BMAC helps us reach often-overlooked talent, giving them tools and opportunities that will prepare and shape them into the future leaders of our industry.”

The 2024 BMAC x Live Nation Program applications will open in March 2024.
