Madonna Will “Vigorously” Defend Fan Lawsuit Over Concert Delays | Entertainment

Madonna will “vigorously” defend legal action brought against her by 2 fans who are suing her for being more than two hours late to a New York show. The lawsuit, issued by Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden, claims “many ticket holders who attended concerts on a weeknight had to get up early.” The pair, who attended the concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, said they “would not have paid for tickets” had they known it would end so late. They’re suing Madonna’s promoter, Live Nation and the Barclays Center for “negligent misrepresentation and unfair and deceptive trade.” The ‘Vogue’ singer’s representatives and Live Nation have stated that it was a technical issue that caused the delay at the Barclays Center. However, the lawsuit claims that the two other nights of Madonna’s Celebration tour at the same venue also started two hours late. The court documents also allege that the singer “has a long history of arriving and starting her concerts late.”
