In a new interview, Margot Robbie has revealed that she’s happy, despite her Best Actress Oscar snub for ‘Barbie.’ Robbie, a producer of the film, said she was “beyond ecstatic” about the film’s eight nominations, including Best Picture. However, she admitted that she was disappointed that Greta Gerwig wasn’t nominated for Best Director. Robbie said that what Gerwig pulled off was “a once-in-a-career, once-in-a-lifetime thing.” However, she stated that she is “blessed” that the film has been so successful. “We set out to do something that would shift culture, affect culture, just make some sort of impact. And it’s already done that and some, way more than we ever dreamed it would. And that is truly the biggest reward that could come out of all of this,” Robbie told a SAG-AFTRA panel. Robbie is still nominated as a producer at the Oscars where ‘Barbie’ is nominated for Best Picture.
