It is STILL not time for Christmas yet (as per Queen of Christmas Mariah Carey), but the star on top of everyone’s Christmas tree is slowly getting into the holly jolly spirit as she has shared new cover art to celebrate the 30th anniversary of her iconic holiday hit “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” and it pays homage to the original.
On Instagram, Mariah shared cover art for two out of the four “All I Want For Christmas Is You” physical singles. One sees Mariah in the same skin-tight red Santa-esque outfit from the 1994 original, while the other shows Carey joyful in a gorgeous long white gown.
Mariah wrote along with the new images, “While it is definitely not time to listen to Christmas music yet‼️ I wanted to share a glimpse of #MerryChristmas30 🎄with you! An homage to the original album cover, here is the cover art for two of the four new ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ physical singles.”
See the updated cover art below.
And the original for context:
And while Mariah Carey may not have “defrosted” yet, she soon will! Because she is set to head out on her upcoming Christmas tour, “Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time,” which kicks off November 6th in Highland, California, and stops in cities across the country including Los Angeles, Phoenix, Dallas, Nashville, St. Louis, Philadelphia, and more, before wrapping up in Brooklyn, New York on December 17th.
