Matthew Perry’s Ketamine Source Now Focus of Investigation | Entertainment

The LAPD is currently working to find the source of the ketamine that caused Matthew Perry’s death last year. The California branch of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is working with the LAPD to investigate the circumstances of Perry’s death. The ‘Friends’ star passed away in October 2023, at the age of 54, and according to his autopsy report, he died due to the “acute effects of ketamine.” Other factors that may have contributed to his death include drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine effects. Perry’s death was ruled accidental and the case was closed by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner. LAPD sources confirmed they are working with the DEA and the US Postal Inspector to determine the source of the drugs that led to the actor’s death. Although authorities have reportedly so far conducted many interviews, no arrests have been made. According to the autopsy, Perry was undergoing ketamine infusion therapy at the time of his death.
