McCartney Calls Yoko Ono An “Interference” In The Beatles Studio | Entertainment

Paul McCartney referred to Yoko Ono as a “workplace interference” on a recent episode of his podcast ‘McCartney: A Life in Lyrics’. McCartney said that Ono’s presence in the middle of their important recording sessions was just something they had to deal with. The ‘Let It Be’ singer admitted the band did not bring up the issue with Lennon as they wanted to avoid being confrontational. “We would allow this and not make a fuss. And yet at the same time, I don’t think any of us particularly liked it. It was an interference in the workplace”, Paul McCartney. The musician added that the tension of the Ono situation contributed to the band breaking up as they were heading in that direction anyway. McCartney recently paid tribute to his late friend Lennon on what would have been his 83rd birthday.
