Minh Ha left her legal career to support her husband as a producer, handling finances, marketing, and distribution strategies for their films. The most recent Lat Mat installment earned a record-breaking VND475 billion, making it one of Vietnam’s top three highest-grossing films of all time.

Their latest movie, Face Off 7: One Wish, was screened in 40 U.S. states and across 270 theaters in 12 countries. The Lat Mat series remains a valuable franchise in Vietnamese cinema, continuing to thrive year after year.

Victor Vu – Dinh Ngoc Diep: the golden cinema couple

Victor Vu is one of Vietnam’s most versatile directors, excelling in genres ranging from horror and drama to action and literary adaptations. His notable works include Battle of the Brides (2011), Sword of the Assassin (2012), Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass (2015), The Immortal (2018), Dreamy Eyes (2019), and The Last Wife (2023).

His wife, Dinh Ngoc Diep, a former actress, transitioned into film production, collaborating with her husband on various projects. She plays a critical role in scriptwriting and content development for their films. Together, they’ve not only succeeded in their careers but have also maintained a harmonious family life, becoming a model couple in the film industry.

Duc Thinh, a respected director, screenwriter, and actor, is known for his popular comedies like Taxi, What’s Your Name? (2016), Super Star Super Silly (2018), and Trang Quynh (2019).

Known for his innovative and creative filmmaking style, Vo Thanh Hoa has directed successful comedies such as My 30-Year-Old Grandpa (2018), Sister Thirteen (2019), Super Easy Job (2022), and The Magic Key (2022). His horror film Devil Dog (2023) earned VND110 billion, adding to his impressive portfolio.

Mai Bao Ngoc, who paused her acting career to join her husband in filmmaking, is the CEO of their production company.

She manages critical aspects of production and promotion, ensuring their projects’ high performance at the box office. The couple’s works have impressed both domestic and international audiences, and their upcoming film Linh Mieu, set to release in November 2024, is highly anticipated.

They are also working on an adaptation of the popular novel Kinh Van Hoa, expected to be a box office hit in 2024.
