LONDON.-Oscar winning actor Michael Caine has announced his retirement from acting.
The 90-year-old actor, who won Oscars for “Hannah and her Sisters” and “The Cider House Rules” made the announcement in an interview on October 14, according to an NBC news report, saying he expects his latest film to be his last.
“I keep saying I’m going to retire. Well I am now,” Caine said in an NBC radio interview.
In his last film, “The Great Escaper” released on October 6 in the United Kingdom, Caine plays a World War II Veteran who escapes from a care home to attend D-Day anniversary celebrations in France.
