The NAACP Youth & College Division has one of the largest organized groups of young people of any organization in the nation. They are advocating for equal rights, and engaged on local, state, and national levels in social justice activism.
The Youth & College Division was created in 1936 to develop intelligent and effective leaders of the future. Also, to stimulate an appreciation of the African culture and learn about the contributions of other people of color.
Today Youth & College Division is composed of more than 25,000 young people under the age of 25. They represent 600 youth councils between, high school chapters, and college chapters. If you would like to learn more, or become a member and make a difference come out to the next Youth Council meeting on Saturday, November 18.
