NEW YORK (CelebrityAccess) – New Kids on the Block (NKOTB) has announced the Magic Summer 2024 tour, which is set to be a significant part of their upcoming activities. The tour will feature special guests, Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff, creating a nostalgic and exciting experience for fans as it re-imagines their sold-out 1990 tour of the same name.

In celebration of the 15th anniversary of their reunion album, The Block, the group released a special edition called The Block Revisited. This edition includes remixes and guest collaborations, adding a fresh twist to their previous work.

The upcoming album, which is yet to be titled, will mark its eighth studio release and the first in more than a decade. The last studio album, 10, was released in 2013 and peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The new album is expected to be a significant addition to their discography.

“We’re super excited to partner with our new label home, BMG,” the pop group enthuses in a joint statement. “We promise 2024 is going to be a big year for NKOTB and our blockheads. We have a new label and a big tour; we are just getting started! Much more to come. Very soon. And we couldn’t have asked for a better partner than BMG to usher in this new era.”

“New Kids on the Block are trailblazers in the music world – creating a blueprint for not only pop music but pop culture,” comments Cyndi Lynott, BMG senior VP of marketing, in a statement unveiling the new recording deal.

“It is an honor to be able to work with this iconic group and deliver brand new music to their passionate fanbase. BMG is full of blockheads, and we could not be more thrilled.”

The group’s chart success includes 13 songs on the Billboard Hot 100, with nine top 10 appearances and three No. 1 hits: “I’ll Be Loving You (Forever)” (1989), “Hangin’ Tough” (1989), and “Step By Step” (1990). Their career album sales have surpassed 80 million, solidifying their impact on pop music and pop culture.
