Celia Shane Hardin

With her sights set on a career in the music and entertainment industry, Celia Shane Hardin is working in New York, New York, this summer as an intern at The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music.
She is also working toward a degree in economics and business to further that goal.
She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeffery Simms Hardin. Her mother is the former Mollye Shane Tanenbaum.
At Newman, “Cici” was the co-captain of the state champion varsity tennis team and won the state doubles championship. She received the Coaches Award twice and volunteered at A’s and Aces, a nonprofit that works with literacy, tennis and life skills.
Cici also plays on the Sewanee Women’s Tennis Team, is a member and pledge trainer for Phi Kappa Epsilon and a member of the academic society The Order of the Gown.
She has worked as a camp counselor at Camp Merrie-Woode in Sapphire, North Carolina, serving as director of tennis and a junior counselor mentor.
During her sub-deb seasons, she was in the courts of Les Pierrettes, Apollo and the Mystic Club.
