Noah Schnapp Clarifies His Stance On Middle East Conflict | Entertainment

Noah Schnapp addressed the online backlash stemming from views he expressed on the Israel-Palestine conflict. The ‘Stranger Things’ star had previously expressed empathy for the people of Israel and condemned the actions of Hamas. “I feel like my thoughts and beliefs have been so far misconstrued from anything even close to what I believe…I only want peace and safety and security for all innocent people affected by this conflict”, Noah Schnapp. In his original statement on the conflict, Schnapp called for people to “choose humanity over violence”. The backlash grew as the actor was seen sporting a sticker that said “Zionism is sexy” and then liked a video poking fun at victims in Gaza. This led to an online movement to boycott the upcoming season five of Netflix’s ‘Stranger Things’ which stars Schnapp as Will Byers.
