Parker Posey has joined the cast of ‘The White Lotus’.
The 55-year-old actress has been added to the cast of the hit TV series, which will also feature Leslie Bibb and Michelle Monaghan during season three of the show.
Elsewhere, Jason Isaacs will also appear in season three of the HBO series, which is set to begin production in Thailand in February.
Mike White will again serve as executive producer and director of ‘The White Lotus’, while David Bernad and Mark Kamine will also serve as executive producers of the award-winning TV show.
For now, exact plot details of season three remain a closely-guarded secret. However, it’s been widely speculated that the show will centre on a set of guests at a new White Lotus hotel property.
HBO has actually teamed up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand for season three of the show.
Janet Graham Borba, the executive vice-president of production for HBO and Max, told Variety: “We are pleased to partner with the Tourism Authority of Thailand to execute Mike’s creative vision and showcase all that the beautiful country of Thailand has to offer, as the next group of guests check in to The White Lotus.”
Meanwhile, Thapanee Kiatphaibool, the governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, is also excited by the partnership.
Thapanee said: “We are honoured to have amazing Thailand featured as the filming location for the highly anticipated upcoming season of ‘The White Lotus’.
“The kingdom’s exotic natural beauty, rich historical sites and diverse landscapes are the perfect settings to share our fascinating culture, fantastic cuisine, top-notch wellness and luxury offerings, and most importantly our people and Thai hospitality.
“Thailand has long been considered one of the world’s favourite filming locations. ‘The White Lotus’ project will certainly strengthen the kingdom’s status as a preferred filming destination and a beacon of experience-based tourism, inspiring even more visitors to amazing Thailand.”
