Producer Entertainment Group (PEG) today announces that it is acquiring Five Senses Reeling (FSR) to form the most comprehensive queer focused company in entertainment. The new entity, which will maintain the PEG moniker for overall operations as well as FSR for touring only, will offer management, production, branding, merchandising, and live events under one umbrella in the first full-service artist representation business of its kind. FSR will be added to PEG’s portfolio of artist support businesses which includes OUTtv, PEG Records, SERV Vodka and its charitable arm, The PEG Foundation, dba “Drag Isn’t Dangerous.”
Founded in 2011 with the belief that drag artists were worthy of professional representation and career guidance, Producer Entertainment Group has expanded beyond basic management to include recording, production, literary, streaming, and retail opportunities for a wide variety of LGBTQ artists. With offices in Los Angeles, London, Boston and Vancouver, Seattle will be the firm’s newest location as PEG owners Jacob Slane and David Charpentier work together with FSR’s Jason Brotman to integrate the companies for a truly 360 approach to artist management.
“Jacob and David have been invaluable partners on past FSR/PEG produced tours including Trixie and Katya Live, Sibling Rivalry Live the Boulet Brothers’ Dragula tours and more,” Jason Brotman, owner of FSR, remarked on the acquisition. “Our companies and staff already work hand in hand every day to bring the best possible experience to our clients and their fans around the world. After much discussion, Jacob, David, and I felt that a combining of our entities is an organic next step in ensuring top tier service to queer artists who have worked tirelessly to have a global platform.
Under terms of the transaction, FSR will continue to promote a wide variety of tours for outside artists while also serving as an in-house touring arm for PEG artists. This includes development, routing and sales, regardless of what company or promoter takes out a tour. PEG artists will continue to enjoy working with the biggest promoters in the industry, like AEG and Live Nation, but will now have a more robust inside planning team to maximize revenue and touring strategy. PEG in return will absorb most of FSR’s staff and provide a much greater pool of talent and IP to work with, through its best-of-the-best drag roster, its OUTtv projects (PEG is a co-owner of the US queer streamer), its ADA/Warner Music Group aligned record label deal and Warner Chappell Music Publishing Administration deal (both shepherded by PEG Sr. Talent Manager & Head of Music Ryan Aceto), and more. Combined with both companies’ robust existing merch businesses, the newly merged entity aims to be one of the first and only fully vertical artist representation businesses in all of entertainment.
“PEG has always had the mission of helping drag and LGBTQIA+ artists achieve unqualified mainstream success, and we are always looking for new strategic partners who share this mission,” said David Charpentier, President and Founder, Producer Entertainment Group. “Acquiring FSR adds major resources in the touring and artist merchandise space, which is especially important right now given how crowded and competitive the touring space has become for everyone.”
