Actress Rachel Bilson has openly discussed her fertility struggles, sharing that she’s experienced multiple miscarriages. On a recent episode of her ‘Broad Ideas’ podcast, ‘The O.C.’ star said, “It’s one of the biggest things I talk about with pregnancy and having babies.” “I’ve had miscarriages, so I’ve had losses”, she said, reflecting on the time before she gave birth to her 8-year-old daughter, Briar Rose, in 2014. Bilson added that the miscarriages occurred before the babies were full-term, saying she “never carried. They were early on.” When the time came to give birth to her daughter she explained that her past experiences prepared her to “roll with the punches.” Motherhood is so important to Bilson, who is now focused on making memories with her daughter, whom she shares with ex Hayden Christensen.
