In a recent TikTok video for ‘Today with Hoda and Jenna’, Reneé Rapp discussed her “ins” and “outs” for 2024. “My outs… First is the man that yelled at me this morning at 8 a.m. and told me to smile. Go to hell,” said the ‘Mean Girls’ star. She then called out Jo Koy, saying, “my out was the man that was making a bunch of jokes about women last night at the Golden Globes.” During the awards show, Koy referred to ‘Barbie’ as being based “on a plastic doll with big boobies,” among other controversial jokes. Taylor Swift also did not seem impressed when Koy quipped she had “fewer camera shots” during the Golden Globes than at an NFL game. People on social media have been calling Koy’s jokes “sexist,” and many have praised Rapp for bringing up the issue in the TikTok video. However, Whoopi Goldberg defended the comedian on ‘Access Hollywood’, saying, “these hosting gigs are brutal” and “it’s hit or miss.”
