Roger Waters Slams Bono’s Support For Israel | Entertainment

Roger Waters, the former Pink Floyd musician, has condemned U2 frontman Bono for his remarks supporting Israel. Waters branded Bono “disgusting” and criticized his comments made during a U2 concert in Las Vegas last year. Bono’s alteration of the lyrics to Pride (In The Name Of Love) to reference the Israeli music festival Supernova sparked Waters’ ire. In an interview with Al Jazeera, Waters called Bono’s comments “disgusting” and criticized him for conflating Zionism with the Jewish identity. “Anybody who knows Bono should go and pick him up by his ankles and shake him… until he stops being an enormous shee” Roger Waters told Al Jazeera. Waters has faced rumors of being dropped by music rights company BMG over his statements. He has been embroiled in various controversies related to his criticisms of Israel.
