Sabrina Carpenter breaks record with voter registration work – Celebrity News – Entertainment

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter has helped register more voters than any other artist ahead of the 2024 presidential election, all while on her Short n’ Sweet tour.

Teaming up with HeadCount, a nonprofit focused on voter engagement, Carpenter registered a whopping 35,814 new voters.

She also engaged an additional 263,087 people through various initiatives like in-person activations, giveaways, video displays, and mailers, all encouraging fans to vote.

“Through our partnerships with over 100 top music artists — like Sabrina Carpenter, Green Day, Ariana Grande, and so many others — HeadCount had a record-breaking year, registering over 450,000 new voters and engaging over 3 million more people to make sure they vote,” said Lucille Wenegieme, HeadCount’s executive director.

HeadCount credits artists’ influence with their record numbers.

Carpenter’s collaboration with HeadCount also included a sweepstakes offering fans a chance to see her live by checking their voter registration.

Winners will get flown out to her Nov. 9 show in San Francisco.

Meanwhile, Green Day’s Saviors Tour set another HeadCount record, engaging 7,900 new voters and over 61,000 fans through in-person events, marking the organization’s biggest single-tour voter engagement to date.
