Spurs will Support Seven Philanthropic Efforts Over Five Weeks
SAN ANTONIO (Nov. 14, 2023) – The San Antonio Spurs are brightening the holiday season for local families through community-centered initiatives and player engagements as part of the “NBA Season of Giving,” a five-week celebration running from mid-November through December when NBA teams give back by supporting and uplifting youth, families and organizations in their communities.
The Spurs players and SS&E organization will serve Thanksgiving dinner to families, donate shoes for children, hand out holiday gifts to kids, give away decorated Christmas trees to families and much more. To make these community moments possible, the Spurs are teaming up with nonprofits and partners, including Ashley, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Elf Louise Christmas Project, Methodist Healthcare, San Antonio Food Bank and San Antonio Police Department.
Each effort aims to amplify and celebrate the impactful contributions made by our community partners and organizations, who tirelessly serve our communities each day. Season of Giving exemplifies Spurs Sports & Entertainment’s unwavering commitment to community impact, fostering connections among players, partners, staff, and families in the places where we live, learn, work, and play.
