Singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk sells catalog of hits to Canada’s Anthem Entertainment

Anthem Entertainment, an independent music company, has acquired a catalog of hit songs written by three-time JUNO Award and Grammy-winning, multi-Platinum selling singer-songwriter Chantal Kreviazuk.

The collection boasts tracks by Kreviazuk herself, including Boot, In This Life, Weight Of The World, Time, and Get To You, alongside collaborations like Feel This Moment by Pitbull featuring Christina Aguilera and Rich Girl by Gwen Stefani.

Notably, Feel This Moment topped global charts and was certified quadruple Platinum in the US by the RIAA, quadruple Platinum in Canada by Music Canada, and triple Platinum by ARIA in Australia, while Rich Girl also topped a number of global charts and was certified double Platinum in the US, Platinum in Australia, and Gold in New Zealand, Sweden, and the UK.

Kreviazuk marked her entry into the music scene with the release of her full-length debut, Under These Rocks and Stones, in 1997. Since then, the singer-songwriter, musician, classically trained pianist, actress, movie producer, philanthropist, and humanitarian, originally hailing from Winnipeg, has achieved international recognition.

With three JUNO Awards and Grammy accolades, Kreviazuk has compiled a discography of 10 albums, encompassing a live album, a holiday album, and a collaborative effort with her husband, Raine Maida, the frontman of Our Lady Peace, under the moniker Moon vs Sun.

Kreviazuk has individually penned, co-written, and collaborated on a substantial catalog of hits with a diverse array of artists including Kelly Clarkson, Drake, Carrie Underwood, Avril Lavigne, Kendrick Lamar, Gwen Stefani, Pitbull, Christina Aguilera,  Britney Spears and others. Beyond her musical endeavors, Kreviazuk is committed to philanthropy. In 2014, she and Maida were jointly awarded the Order of Canada for their contributions to raising awareness and support for human and animal rights, mental health, education, and the environment.

“Chantal Kreviazuk is one of the most prolific and successful Canadian songwriters recognized today on the international stage.”

Anthem Entertainment, headquartered in Toronto with operations in Nashville, New York, Los Angeles, and London, is home to Anthem Music Publishing, Anthem Records, and a production music division that encompasses Jingle Punks, 5 Alarm Music and Cavendish Music. The company rebranded as Anthem Entertainment from Ole Media Management in 2019.

Back in June, Anthem invested in Timbaland and Gary Marella-founded beat marketplace Beatclub, and acquired additional publishing interests in Timbaland’s catalog. In 2019, it acquired a catalog of songs from Boardwalk Music Group, which were co-written by songwriter Eric Frederic (Ricky Reed). That catalog includes hits by artists such as Halsey, Leon Bridges, Lizzo, Meghan Trainor and more.
