Snoop Dogg captured hearts in the summer of 2024 as NBC’s Olympics Ambassador, but when it comes to football, he’s got his eye on exactly one team — the Pittsburgh Steelers — and he doesn’t want anybody distracting him from rooting for them.
During Sunday Night Football on October 6, the “Gin and Juice” star, 52, told Today that his passion for the Steelers would keep him from watching the upcoming Steelers vs. Chiefs games with any fans of the opposing team. That rule would extend to even mega-star and famous Chiefs supporter Taylor Swift, who has been credited with raising the profile of the NFL because of her relationship with Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

While there is no “Bad Blood” between the rapper and the pop star, 34, Snoop says he simply doesn’t want any Chiefs fans around him when he’s watching the game. “That ain’t happening,” he said simply when asked whether he would invite Swift to watch with him. “When it comes to a Steelers game, it’s us or nobody. We don’t side with nobody else.” Snoop has spoken positively about Swift in the past, and the Death Row Records owner mentioned that he considered re-recording his albums the way Swift has on the Full Send Podcast. He even agreed that some of her songs were “classic bangers,” so attending sporting events together in the future doesn’t seem like it’s completely off the table.
The D-O Double G explained that despite being a California native, he’d always been a Steelers fan. “Well, in the ’70s, you got to understand there was only so many teams that was really dominating, and the Steelers was one of those teams that represented what I felt like,” he said. The “Drop it Like it’s Hot” singer appeared to have a great time at the stadium during Sunday’s game, even leading fans in the Steelers’ traditional “Terrible Towel Twirl.”
