Singer and rapper Kid Rock performed at the final − and much anticipated − night of the Republican National Convention.
And the internet thought it was, well, something.
Here are the best reactions of Kid Rock’s performance at the Fiserv Forum on X (formerly Twitter).
How the internet reacted to Kid Rock’s RNC performance
The reactions actually started at Kid Rock’s rehearsal.
Some were quick to make comparisons with other musicians.
Others also took note of former First Lady Melania Trump’s reaction.
The word “cringe” was often used. As was other, stronger language.
Why did Kid Rock perform at the RNC?
Michigan-born Kid Rock, whose actual name is Robert James Ritchie, made his name in the music industry with the release of his album “Devil Without a Cause” in 1998. He makes music that mixes hip hop, rap and country genres.
He’s leaned into conservative politics in recent years, aligning himself with former President Donald Trump’s causes. Recently, he donated $50,000 to an online fundraiser for “supporters and families wounded or killed” in the Saturday shooting at Trump’s rally in Pennsylvania.
