Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas tied the knot in 2019 and had a “beautiful relationship” despite finalizing their divorce last month.
The Game of Thrones alum recently sat down with Harper’s Bazaar to discuss how happy she was to return to England amid legalities surrounding her split from the Jonas Brothers star.
“I’m going through a legal process right now where I can’t really say much, but it was incredibly sad. We had a beautiful relationship, and it was hard.”
Turner revealed how pleased she was to be back in the U.K. with her family and friends after six years.
“I’m so happy to be back. It felt as if my life was on pause until I returned to England. I just never really feel like myself when I’m not in London, with my friends and family. I was away for so long — six years — and it was when my friends were getting engaged, and when I got pregnant.”
In fact, the actress went through her entire pregnancy in the U.S. and missed out on some “key experiences” with friends.
“I went for dinner with someone the other day, and she said, ‘I never got to touch your belly.’ We didn’t have those key experiences with each other.”
During an interview with British Vogue in June, amid filming new series Joan, Turner explained how hard it was to be apart from her children, daughters Willa, 4, and Delphine, 2 (both of whom she shares with Jonas).
“It hurt because I really do completely torture myself over every move I make as a mother — mom guilt is so real!”
