After a hiatus spanning 17 years, the iconic Los Muertos de Cristo Band is back in action, ready to set the music scene ablaze once again with its original name – Moheda

Vocalist and founder of the Los Muertos de Cristo, Oliver Moheda is thrilled to announce the reopening of his brainchild, the Los Muertos de Cristo (LMDC) band. Moheda started LMDC as a Spanish heavy metal band in Marbella in 2004 but the band was dissolved in 2006, despite releasing an album, Rapsodia Libertaria Vol. III, on 9 November 2009, and scheduling one last tour.

Now in 2023, after nearly two decades, Los Muertos de Cristo is back but this time it would be called Moheda which was the first name the band was supposed to be called. This revival, spearheaded by the band’s founder, Oliver Moheda, brings together an electrifying fusion of his musical evolution over the past decade and a heartfelt reunion with Natalie Abel. In the years since Moheda Band’s hiatus in 2006, Oliver Moheda embarked on a remarkable musical odyssey. With a trail of solo successes, he refined his craft, pushing the boundaries of creativity and embracing new musical horizons.

In 2008, Oliver embarked on a journey to elevate his career, setting his sights on the bustling streets of New York City. Little did he know that fate had something extraordinary in store for him. It was in the year 2010 that serendipity came knocking, bringing Alecia Demner into his life. Together, they embarked on a creative voyage that seamlessly blended the rebellious notes of punk rock with the raw power of metal, birthing a musical fusion that would soon be celebrated on a global stage.

Their collaborative efforts yielded a collection of acclaimed productions, not merely contributing to music collections but ushering in a new era of top-tier entertainment. Oliver and Alecia’s innovative compositions and performances pushed the boundaries of artistic expression, setting new standards for excellence.

In 2015, Oliver carried this wealth of experience and passion with him across the Atlantic to London, United Kingdom. Here, he assumed the role of a Tour Manager and became the trusted driver for various musical acts. His dedication and expertise extended beyond the confines of the stage, providing comprehensive executive production support to ensure these artists cemented their positions as trailblazing trendsetters in the industry.

Oliver’s journey from New York to London was not just a geographical shift; it was a transformative odyssey that solidified his position as a key player in the music industry. His dedication to advancing music and delivering top-tier entertainment experiences continues to leave an indelible mark on the world of music.

As the band steps back onto the stage, music lovers can expect a thrilling resurgence that carries with it the echoes of a rich history, yet also bears the unmistakable mark of evolution. While Oliver Moheda’s journey and the band’s new ownership under Natalie have introduced fresh perspectives and creative energies, the band’s unwavering commitment to anarchist ideals remains unscathed.

For those who have followed Los Muertos de Cristo over the years, the band’s music has been a powerful vehicle for social and political commentary, challenging the status quo and championing the voices of the marginalized. This commitment to advocacy through music has not wavered, and fans can anticipate lyrics that are as incisive and thought-provoking as ever.

Los Muertos de Cristo’s unique ability to interlace their music with potent messages of rebellion and dissent is a testament to their enduring relevance in a world where the fight for justice and equality rages on. This revival is not just a musical comeback; it’s a rallying cry for those who believe in the power of music to ignite change and inspire action.

As the band gears up for their long-awaited return, the spirit of anarchism, combined with the fresh creative energy of Natalie and Oliver, promises an electrifying fusion that will captivate both dedicated fans and a new generation of listeners ready to embrace the band’s rebellious ethos.
