Taylor Swift won’t be in attendance for Eagles-Chiefs game

Taylor Swift will not be in attendance for tonight’s Super Bowl 57 rematch between the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs.

The pop star postponed the second night of her Eras Tour on Saturday evening in Rio De Janeiro due to an excessive heat warning in the area. This came less than 24 hours after a fan, 23-year-old Ana Clara Benevides Machado, who attended the first show on Friday night, was taken to a hospital and reportedly died from cardiac arrest according to local media reports in Brazil.

Due to both the scorching temperatures and tragic loss, Saturday’s show was rescheduled for Monday night, meaning there’s no possibility of Swift attending her boyfriend and Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce’s game against the Eagles and his brother, Jason.

Swift was rumored and all but likely to be in the audience this evening as she would’ve had off until she continued her tour in Sao Paulo, Brazil next weekend.

Is Taylor Swift an Eagles fan?

The 33-year-old West Reading, Pennsylvania native will have plenty of opportunity to be in attendance for Kelce’s games in the future. After she wraps up this leg of her tour in South America on Nov. 26, she’ll be off until early February when it restarts in Asia at the Tokyo Dome in Japan.

Swift, along with other celebrities, were notably at MetLife Stadium in early October when Kelce and the Chiefs traveled to East Rutherford to play the Jets in Week 4.

Over the last two months, Swift has become a regular with the Chiefs cheering section. But on her “Eras Tour” stop in Philadelphia earlier this year, Swift declared that the Eagles were indeed the lyrical reference in question for one of her tracks.

“I’m from Philly,” she told the crowd at Lincoln Financial Field, home of the Eagles. “Of course it’s the team.”
