Taylor Swift’s longtime best friend, Abigail Anderson, is celebrating a huge life milestone: She’s a mom!

“Baby boy decided to join us a few weeks earlier than expected,” Anderson, who is married to husband Charlie Berard, wrote via instagram on Friday, August 16, alongside a black and white photo of her newborn clutching her finger. “Our hearts are exploding with love. Welcome to the world Bennett, it’s entirely yours.”

Anderson — who has been best friends with Swift since they attended high school together in Hendersonville, Tennessee — instantly received thousands of well wishes in the comments, with many followers quoting Swift lyrics.

“Your little hand’s wrapped around my finger, and it’s so quiet in the world tonight,” multiple fans wrote, quoting the pop star’s song “Never Grow Up.”

“SHE HAD HIS BABY!!!!” another person commented, referring to the line in “But Daddy I Love Him” in which Swift sings, “I’m having his baby / No, I’m not but you should see your faces.” (Anderson herself quoted her bestie’s Tortured Poets Department track when announcing her pregnancy.)

While Swift — who is currently in London performing at Wembley Stadium all week — has yet to publicly comment on her best friend’s new addition, several of her A-list pals congratulated Anderson in the comments section of her post.

“Welcome Bennett!!!! Good job mama:) ,” Gigi Hadid gushed, while Lily Aldridge chimed in: “Sending so much love & congratulations.”

Prior to Anderson’s marriage to Berard — whom she works with at Celero Commerce — she was married to photographer Matt Lucier from 2017 to 2021. Swift served as Anderson’s maid of honor at her first wedding.

Fans have long been interested in Anderson’s life, both in relation to and separate from the Grammy winner. Swift memorably sang about their high school experience on the Fearless track “Fifteen,” mentioning Anderson by name. (The Kansas University grad also starred in the music video for the song.)

“You sit in class next to a red-head named Abigail / And soon enough you’re best friends,” the “Anti-Hero” hitmaker sings, later lamenting over Anderson’s high school breakup on the bridge. “And Abigail gave everything she had to a boy who changed his mind / And we both cried.”
