In the beauty world, there are seldom topics that are as big a conversation piece as Taylor Swift’s favorite lipstick.
A bold lip has been in the 34-year-old pop star’s style DNA for years, but her glam squad has, for the most part, famously kept the details of makeup routine under wraps, leaving beauty editors and Swifties alike decoding everything just to find out which product Swift uses.
That is, until now.
On Oct. 1, Swift’s makeup artist Lorrie Turk (who’s also worked with Reese Witherspoon and Sadie Sink) decided to hop on her Instagram Stories to reveal exactly which lip product Swift has been loving “for years.”
And it happens to be Nars’ The Original Lipstick in the shade Morocco.
That’s right, the $26 matte cinnamon-red shade is a staple in the Grammy winner’s rotation, so much so that she’s been wearing it on her recent outings.
According to the beauty pro, Swift swiped on the mauve hue for her appearance at the 2024 MTV VMAs — where she rocked a grudge glam look — and to a Sept. 5 football match between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens.
Besides providing a gorgeous color for the lips, the lipstick is also made with a lightweight, long-lasting formula that makes it great for, say, a fun awards show or hours cheering on your NFL star boyfriend (we’re looking at you, Travis Kelce).
Sadly, the lipstick is sold out on the Nars website. Thankfully though, there are six more shades to shop from the collection.
Plus, Swift’s beloved shade is available in the creamy $20 Air Matte Lip Color version, which still provides the same dreamy effect, but is applied with a doe-foot applicator as opposed to a traditional lipstick bullet.
For those of you wondering which bold red lipstick Swift has been rocking as of late (including the kiss-proof gem she was photographed wearing at the Kansas City Chiefs AFC Championship), Turk has yet to confirm those details.
However, the pro has previously raved about shades like the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl, the MAC Cosmetics Retro Matte Lipstick in Ruby Woo and the Sephora Cream Lip Stain Liquid Lipstick in Always Red.

Swift has also proven to be a fan of Pat McGrath Labs, the brand founded by legendary makeup artist Dame Pat McGrath, with whom Swift worked for her “Bejeweled” music video.
At the time, McGrath told Allure that she envisioned “scintillating, shimmering and sparkling,” makeup.

“I designed 30 looks, which I then executed with Team Pat McGrath with the same energy as if we were preparing for an Haute Couture show,” she said.
The brand’s Permagel Ultra Lip Pencil in Blood Lust and Deep Dive topped with the LiquiLUSTTM: Legendary Wear Matte Lipstick in Elson 4 (all of which are sold out) were included in the final look, per the outlet.
