Jamie Foxx has denied sexual assault allegations made against him. A lawsuit was filed against Foxx in New York on Wednesday, where he is accused of sexual assault during an incident that allegedly took place in 2015.

“The alleged incident never happened. In 2020, this individual filed a nearly identical lawsuit in Brooklyn. That case was dismissed shortly thereafter,” a spokesperson for Foxx said.

“The claims are no more viable today than they were then. We are confident they will be dismissed again,” the spokesperson added.

“And once they are, Mr Foxx intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against this person and her attorneys for re-filing this frivolous action.”

Foxx is accused of groping the woman and putting his hands under her clothing against her will, until her friend found the two of them and interrupted the encounter.

Foxx is one of the latest celebrities accused of sexual wrongdoing under the Adult Survivors Act, which is a New York state law allowing such lawsuits to be filed in court, even if the statutes of limitations have run out.

There have been a series of lawsuits filed under the act, with the deadline expiring at the end of this month.

Russell Brand, Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Donald Trump, Sean “Diddy” Combs (whose case was settled after one day) and Axl Rose were all also sued under the law.
