Benson Berro is a seasoned tax professional with over 27 years of experience serving the media and entertainment industry and serves as KPMG’s US tax industry leader for media and entertainment. Berro leads integrated teams of KPMG tax professionals providing tax advisory and compliance services to clients ranging from publicly traded multi-nationals to private equity owned and closely held clients primarily in the media, entertainment and technology industries, with a strong focus on clients engaged in the production and distribution of content.
Berro has extensive experience with the various federal, state and foreign tax and investment incentive regimes for content production. He is the co-author of KPMG’s Film Financing and Television Programming: A Taxation Guide, and instructor at KPMG’s national tax training courses. In addition, he has served as a moderator of panels at the American Film Market’s Film Finance Conference.
