Check out this week’s edition of UPFRONT/Inside Atlanta’s Entertainment Industry.
Host, Ray Cornelius, continues his Black Music Month Celebration by talking one-on-one with Grammy-nominated contemporary jazz pianist, composer, producer, arranger and nationally-syndicated radio host Bob Baldwin. The veteran music star is back with two new projects for the summer and will talk about this duo-album release beginning next week.
And in the second part of the show, Ray revisits his 2022 conversation with filmmaker Eliane Henri and her documentary “HARGROVE,” which chronicles the final days of jazz icon Roy Hargrove. The film is debuting on Black Public Media beginning Friday, June 28 with additional airings on WorldChannel.org and PBS/PBS Passport.
UPFRONT/Inside the Entertainment Industry is produced and hosted by Ray Cornelius for Jazz 91.9 WCLK. The show re-airs on SiriusXM HBCU Channel 142 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 6:30pm EST.
