UPFRONT talks to directors of AJC Films ‘South Got Something to Say’


Check out the newest edition of UPFRONT/Inside the Entertainment Industry on Saturday, November 4 at 9:30am. Host, Ray Cornelius is celebrating 50 years of hip hop by going behind-the-scenes of the new Atlanta Journal Constitution documentary, The South Got Something to Saywith directors Ryon and Tyson Horne.

The 90-minute film takes a look back at Atlanta’s hip hop roots through never before seen archival footage, stunning images and captivating interviews with some of the city’s biggest music stars including Jermaine Dupri, T.I., Killer Mike, Dallas Austin, and Goodie Mob. The project marks the launch of AJC Films, part of the storied newspaper’s recently announced effort to transform itself into a modern media company through new voices, content and mediums. The goal is for the AJC to partner with filmmakers and studios to produce long-form programming that brings the rich history of the city and the paper to life on-screen.

UPFRONT/Inside the Entertainment Industry is produced and hosted by Ray Cornelius for Jazz 91.9 WCLK. The show re-airs on SiriusXM HBCU Channel 142 on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 6:30pm EST.
