Victoria Beckham is in talks for her own documentary after husband David’s Netflix docuseries ‘Beckham’ proved a huge hit.
The four-part documentary chronicles the career of the 48-year-old retired football legend and shares intimate details about his personal and professional life.
After it proved hugely popular with viewers, TV executives are said to be keen to get the ball rolling for Victoria’s own doc, which would tell the story of the 49-year-old pop star being catapulted to fame in the 1990s as Posh Spice in the Spice Girls to the ups and downs of launching her own successful fashion and beauty empire, all while being a mother of four to their children, Brooklyn, 24, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 18, and 12-year-old Harper.
A source told The Sun: “This will be a documentary exploring Victoria’s meteoric rise in the fashion world; how she’s built a fashion and beauty empire from scratch.
“The focus will very much be on the business brand, but will detail how she had to overcome the naysayers post-Spice Girls and defied the cynics.
“At times her journey wasn’t easy, and there will be a blood, sweat and tears look behind the scenes at the sheer graft she has put into reinventing herself.
“Off the back of David’s success, and how well she came across, people will also see, in depth, her wit and sarcasm.
“Of course there will be some personal life elements and David, and her celebrity pals, will feature in the background.
“It’s early days but everyone is very excited about this production.”
‘Beckham’ has remained at the top of the Netflix chart and attracted 25 million viewers.
The source added: “Beckham has proven that even 24 years after they first wed, the public remains captivated by David and Victoria so there’s hope a series focusing on the leading lady will do just as well.”
