Not everyone can fly to New York right now, but in this social media age, we’re fortunate as Vina Morales gives a glimpse of her Broadway debut in “Here Lies Love!”
Dubbed the “Ultimate Performer,” Morales first appeared in the musical “Here Lies Love” at the Broadway Theater on September 22. She assumes the role of Aurora Aquino until October 22, which co-producer Lea Salonga also played in its initial run.

On Instagram, the actress/singer gave a sneak peek of her “magical” premiere as a Broadway artist. She posted some snaps and clips from the live show, as well as a lengthy caption that described her experience!
“My Broadway debut was magical. You made it all magical,” she began. “I am overwhelmed by the love and amazing reviews. I made it to Broadway! Yay! A dream come true and another checked on my bucket list.”
“Now, I can say that I am a Broadway Actor. To God be the glory!”
Following her glorious declaration, Morales expressed gratitude to her fellow Filipino cast and crew. “To all our producers, production team, and amazing casts, thank you all, for the love and for welcoming me with love and positive energy! I can feel it in the room when you raised a welcome toast for me! I was in tears of joy. Love you, my @herelieslovebway family,” she continued.
She also made special mentions to the Disney legend, the “Here Lies Love” casting director, her management, and her daughter. She noted, “Love love to our beloved @msleasalonga and Direk @thebobbygarciaco; to my management @starmagicphils‘ @lovecapulong; and to my family, @ceanaml. Thank you and love you all!”
“For those who were calling my name during the show, I can hear you OK and I am KILIG but I can’t smile back and wave at you coz I am in character,” she added. “Sa concert na lang po ako mag-hi sa inyo pero I’m kilig that you guys are cheering for me. Salamat po!”
To conclude her post, she invited everyone to experience the immersive Broadway musical from David Byrne and Fatboy Slim that delivers a Filipino story.
