Well, Harry Styles Shaved His Head

Sound the alarms! Alert the media! (Well, I guess we’re the media.) Harry Styles shaved his head! I repeat, Harry Edward Styles has shaved his head and we’re…not okay.

By now, we all know Styles loves a well-timed hair transformation. I personally will never forget where I was when I heard he cut off his long, wavy hair. (He later donated it to make a wig for a child with cancer.) Now, new photos have surfaced of the star sans basically any hair at all, making this the most dramatic transformation he’s done yet.

As noted by TMZ, Harry Styles was spotted at a U2 concert at the Las Vegas Sphere venue alongside his rumored girlfriend Taylor Russell, but it wasn’t their concert PDA that grabbed fans’ attention. It was the fact that Styles had practically no hair left on his head anymore. Gone is the tousled short crop and, in its place, a full-on buzzcut. Apparently, it was time for a change.

Harry Styles’s buzz cut, which you can see for yourself here, comes on the heels of long-running speculation that he is actually bald and his gorgeous hair is actually the result of toupees and hair pieces. Back in 2022, there were more than two million videos about a potential Styles hair conspiracy, which began on viral celebrity gossip account DeuxMoi. “This A-list musician/ occasional actor has a dirty little secret he hasn’t shared with fans. Literally! He has gone almost completely bald. His hairpiece is so lifelike that only a good eye could pick it out, and that’s on a bad day,” a tipster wrote. First, followers thought it was Machine Gun Kelly, but that idea was squashed. Thus, a deluge of theories re: Styles began and “Baldarry” was born.

Of course, those conspiracy theories — many of them tongue-in-cheek — are just that, theories, and we have about zero percent actual info on the state of Styles’ follicles. If he was wearing a hairpiece all that time, its creator needs a Nobel Prize. But at the end of the day, a haircut is just a haircut, and maybe he simply felt like a change or needed a break from styling products. (Or maybe it was a reaction to Taylor Swift’s vault song “Now That We Don’t Talk,” which contains a pointed lyric probably about Styles growing his hair long after they dated.) We’ll miss that thick, luscious hair, but, hey, it’ll grow back.
