Fans of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are counting down the days until the 2024 People’s Choice Awards. Why? Well, they’re hoping for a red carpet debut by Swelce (a.k.a. Traylor and Tayvis.)
On Thursday, Jan. 11, the “Cruel Summer” singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end were both named big nominees for the Hollywood awards show. Specifically, Swift nabbed a nomination for Movie of the Year for her Eras Tour concert film, as well as nods for Female Artist of the Year, Pop Artist of the Year, Concert Tour of the Year, and Social Celebrity of the Year.
As for Kelce? He found himself nominated in the Athlete of the Year category.
Following news of the nominations, several Swifties took to X (formerly Twitter) to theorize if Swift, 34, and Kelce, 34, will finally bring their “Love Story” to the red carpet. “Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce both nominated for a PCA,” one fan wrote online. “I’m feeling a red carpet debut.”
Another chimed in, “and when taylor swift and travis kelce make their red carpet debut at the people’s choice awards then what.”
A third noted, “A Red Carpet Debut Coming Through!”
Now, before you get too excited, we sadly have to mention that it’s very unlikely that Swift will attend the People’s Choice Awards. For those not following the International leg of the Eras Tour, Swift is performing at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds in Melbourne, Australia on Sunday, Feb. 18—the same day as the PCAs.
However, Australia is 19 hours ahead of Santa Monica, Calif., where the ceremony is taking place. So, if Swift jumps on a plane and heads straight for the awards show it may still be possible. Although, that sounds wildly exhausting for a couple prizes.
We may just have to be patient for that red carpet debut!
