WKTU New York Weekend Host Astra Named Global Anchor At Page Six. | Story

New York City radio personality Astra joins Page Six as Global Anchor as the celebrity entertainment publication, spawned by the New York Post’s renowned gossip column, expands its video operations and original programming with the launch of a new video studio in Manhattan.

Astra currently hosts weekends on iHeartMedia rhythmic CHR WKTU (103.5), and previously hosted afternoons on the former “92.3 Amp Radio” WBMP. Before landing in New York City, Astra spent a decade at Cox Media Group CHR WBLI (106.1) Nassau-Suffolk, NY. She also hosted “Astra’s World” on Pitbull’s Globalization SiriusXM Channel.

“Page Six has been a leader in celebrity entertainment for over 40 years,” New York Post CEO & Publisher Sean Giancola said in a release. “We’ve grown from a daily print must-read to a multi-platform source for celebrity exclusives and breaking news. Expanding our video slate is a natural next step in our evolution. We’re looking forward to the Page Six Video Studio becoming a regular stop on celebrity press junkets, and we’re excited to bring our loyal audience even more engaging content.”

The Page Six studio, which is sponsored by Tri-State Cadillac, will produce daily hosted video segments, spanning celebrity entertainment news, fashion round-ups, awards show and red-carpet coverage, celebrity real estate, beauty and fashion advice, and shoppable video. All video content will be published on pagesix.com, YouTube, and Page Six social handles.
